Stacey Waite at Penn State

Stacey Waite, a June Poet from 1997, gave a great reading on Tuesday night at Penn State. Jeanne Walker, Lynn Emanuel and I had selected Stacey's poem "Dear Gender" (from her chapbook, Choke) as one of four poems to be printed on broadsides in this year's Public Poetry Project. The project distributes broadsides/posters by poets with a Pennsylvania connection to schools, libraries, and other public venues across the state. The other recipients this year were Gerald Stern, Gregory Djanikian, and the ever-awesome Terrance Hayes.
