Paula's on Poetry Daily!

Hey Folks,

Check out Paula's way cool poem on today's Poetry Daily. Congrats, Paula!

And J.D. Smith had a nice poem up on Verse Daily the other day. And I read a Sam Reed poem a couple weeks ago, I think it was in the Colorado Review? It's so good to see y'all's poems out there in print (and in the ether). . .

In other po-happenings at Bucknell, Mary Szybist is on campus today and tomorrow (she's giving a reading tomorrow night in Bucknell Hall). Mary was a June Poet back in '92; check out her book, Granted: well worth the read!

Hope all's well with everyone out there and that those who celebrated Turkey Day had their yummy fill of feasting and family time.

Cheers,

Ron

and Ruth Kocher, too

While you're checking out Matt's poems in West Branch, don't miss Ruth Kocher (1990)'s poem, "Fidelity."

Matt Ladd, Matt Ladd, Matt Ladd

Congrats also to Matt Ladd (2002), whose three gorgeous poems appear in the luminously redesigned West Branch: I just read "A Difficult Knowledge of California" to my intro students on Monday (I've stolen Jeff Hardin's engaging practice of reading a poem a day to all my classes) and they loved it. Their favorite line: "Las Vegas is still / popping its glamorous jaw."

Look for the new WB at fine bookstores (or a Barnes & Noble) near you; the new issue is just out.

Kevin's Sonnet's on Po-Daily!

Dearlings,

Please check out the badass sonnet ("To You") on today's Poetry Daily; it was penned by our own Kevin A. Gonzalez (June Poet, 2002). Kudos, Kevin, to you.
